Instructions for presenting at the conference

Below is information for presenting authors. The following link also provides information you should consider when preparing your manuscript:

Oral Presentations

The time allocated for each presentation is 10 minutes, followed by 5 minutes for discussion. This is with the exception of the Rosanna Degani Young Investigator competition where presentations are 15 minutes, followed by 5 minutes for discussion. Speakers and session chairs are requested to strictly adhere to this schedule in order to finish sessions on time and to permit participants to move successfully from one parallel session to another.

All conference rooms will be equipped with a computer projection system (LCD projector and PC with Windows 7, Microsoft Office, Windows Media Player and Adobe Acrobat reader). Speakers are required to allow adequate time prior to their session to load and check their presentations on the designated computer. A local staff member will be available to help. In addition speakers are required to meet with their session chairpersons in the scheduled conference room at least 10 minutes before the beginning of the session.

Poster Presentations

Posters should be at most 80 cm (32") wide x 110 cm (43") high. This year there is a large number of posters so these guidelines must me adhered to in order to ensure that all posters can be displayed.

Poster sessions will take place in the Exhibition Centre on Tuesday, 28th September from 17:30 and on Wednesday, 29th September from 12:00. Authors are required to be present at their posters during their assigned session in order to discuss their work with other conference attendees.

Check-in: Authors must check-in with the session chair in the exhibition centre during the 30 minutes prior to the poster session.
Hanging Posters: For the Tuesday poster session, authors may hang their posters at the location designated with the correct number anytime after 14:00. For the Wednesday poster session, posters may be hung any time after 08:00. Subject areas for the poster sessions will be clearly marked and poster boards will be numbered with a card corresponding to the page number of the abstract in this book.
Mounting materials will be provided.

Light lunch or drinks and snacks will be offered during the poster sessions.
